Social Networking Standouts on iOS: France's Q1 2021 Overview

The first quarter of 2021 has been eventful for social networking apps on iOS in France. Sensor Tower provides us with a detailed look at how the top apps in this category have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Azar - Video Chat kicked off the quarter with revenues around $63K, dipping to $49K mid-quarter before peaking at nearly $67K in mid-March. Downloads started at approximately 21K and saw a downward trend to 9K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also saw a decrease from 122K to 91K.

Libon - Calls and Recharge, a France-based app, showed consistent revenue numbers starting around $47K and closing the quarter with a similar figure. Downloads showed a slight fluctuation between 1K and 1K, while weekly active users saw a modest increase from 2K to 3K.

BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live had revenues that fluctuated between $27K and $46K. Downloads remained relatively steady, ranging from 4K to 5K, with weekly active users starting at 24K and ending the quarter with 22K.

Reports+ for Instagram saw revenues that varied from $31K to $34K, with a noticeable dip to $17K in late February. Downloads began at 13K, dropped to 3K, and then slightly recovered to 9K. Weekly active users experienced a decline from 71K to 38K.

Lastly, Gleeden showed a stable revenue pattern, hovering around $28K to $31K. Downloads were consistent, with numbers ranging from 1K to 2K, and weekly active users maintained between 7K to 8K throughout the quarter.
